Testimonial:
The life of a public relations professional is harried, no doubt; and too often, we dive into day-today tactics to meet deadlines and stay afloat. Preparing for my APR has encouraged me to slow down, develop plans, and make smart, strategic decisions for my clients and for my organization.

Having studied journalism in college, I learned PR during seven years of on-the-job training. Fortunately for me, I had some very skilled bosses who shared their knowledge willingly. However, as I looked to lead my own PR team, I was ready to back up my practical knowledge with textbook know-how. It was truly interesting to read about the history of our profession, to learn where weve come from and where were going and to realize how research and evaluation lead to more professional plans. The APR process was an invigorating challenge, and one that has made me a more confident, better-prepared public relations professional.
