Testimonial:
My decision to make the commitment to seek accreditation in public relations has proven to be a significant turning point in my professional development. Prior to attaining my APR, I had developed the majority of my PR knowledge and skills while on the job. Through the process of preparing for the Readiness Review and studying for the APR test, I learned about public relations concepts, theories, practices and the history of PR, and now find myself referring back to these insights on a daily basis.

I also developed a foundational understanding of the four-step process, which has taught me to look at every potential PR opportunity in a new way.

I’m thankful that a colleague and I decided to dive into this challenge together. By partnering up, we were able to use each other as resources, encourage each other, hold each other accountable to studying and (best of all!) celebrate our successes together when we passed the test.

Attaining my APR has not only given me a deeper level of confidence when offering strategic counsel to or making decisions on behalf of my clients and company, but has also given me a strong foundation and a mark of distinction as a PR professional. My advice to all PR professionals: challenge yourself to attain your APR and if possible, bring a friend along on the journey!"
